Look again at this map from the last section. Note how far the scribes from Jerusalem traveled to accuse Jesus. Also note that Jesus' family lived in Nazareth and came all the way down to Capernaum. We don't know if that was in response to hearing the things he was doing or for some other reason.

The global family of God may not be something many of us think about often. In the comforts of our homes and the security many of us have in our daily lives, its easy to forget that this is not the case for many of our brothers and sisters around the world. While we are insulated from much of it, we also live in a time where we have direct access to these stories should we chose to listen. Below is a link to The Voice of the Martyrs website. Take some time to read some of these stories and pray for the global church, particularly our brothers and sisters in Christ who are being persecuted.
