Glen Stevens came to Salem in January of 2010 to serve as the Senior Pastor.
Prior to that, Glen faithfully served as Senior Pastor of Crossroads Church (EFCA) in Albert Lea, MN for 13 years from their first public worship service in the Fall of 1996 until he transitioned to Fargo in 2010.
Glen’s connection to the FM area and to Salem began years ago when Glen and his wife Jill attended Salem as college students while receiving their Bachelor’s Degrees at Minnesota State University Moorhead.
After graduating from MSUM, Glen became a Pastoral Apprentice at Salem from 1994 to 1996 while completing his Masters of Divinity from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in Deerfield, Illinois.
Glen and Jill love the Fargo-Moorhead-West Fargo metro and are delighted to be engaged in ministry here. Glen and Jill were both raised in the Minot, ND area and met at their church’s youth group as teenagers. In 1988 they were married in Minot and have four children.
When he’s not preparing sermons, leading the pastoral staff, working with Salem’s elders or ministering to people, you will probably find Glen cheering on the Bison! He is a huge sports fan, and also enjoys reading, being active, taking in a good story on film or spending time with his family and friends.
Pastor Glen’s prayer for Salem is that the people of the church come to experience a deep relationship with God and with one another through the Gospel. That they would continually be shaped by the Gospel so that we are always learning from Jesus about who we are in Christ and how to live for Him, and then out of gratitude and love, doing what He says.
