Visiting Fargo Campus

We’re glad you’re thinking about attending a worship service at Fargo Campus.  Our church is a group of imperfect people who want to know and love God.  We have a diverse congregation of all ages and ethnicities and are always happy to welcome a new face each week.  We sincerely hope you will come and worship with us this Sunday!

Salem is one church, and we meet in two locations.  Our Fargo campus has its own distinct flavor.  While Salem has two locations, we as one church are committed to the same mission: living lives of love with God, in community, on mission.  Our Sunday morning worship services are a part of that mission as we take time to come together to worship as we sing, pray and hear great teaching from God’s Word.  We invite you to come and see what we are all about and join us in our mission!

  • When do I need to get there?
Arrive about 10 minutes early to make your way in, get a cup of coffee and find a comfortable seat.
  • Where do I park?
Fargo Campus is located in a neighborhood and has a small parking lot which we try to reserve for senior citizens, people with mobility challenges and families with young children.  Most of us utilize street parking up to three blocks around the building. Feel free to utilize the drop off area on the north side of our building. If you find you’re parking a couple of blocks from the building: It’s worth the walk!
  • What should I wear?
Wear what is comfortable for you. God doesn’t care whether you are formal or casual - He looks at the heart!  We are just happy to have you come!
  • What is the worship service like?
Salem is a welcoming community of believers where you are welcome! The worship team leads us in singing, followed by prayer, teaching from God’s Word and a final response to God in song.
  • How long is the service?
The worship service is usually 70-75 minutes.
  • Is there childcare available?
Child care is available for ages birth - 23 months during the service in our nursery, which is located on the first floor of our Children’s wing.  Our ushers or greeters can help you find the Children's wing.

Wednesday Evening Children's Programs

Both Fargo Campus and Moorhead Campus children join together from Labor Day through April, at our Moorhead Campus for Wednesday evening children’s programming for children age 3 (on or before August 1st of the current school year) through 6th grade.

AWANA Cubbies

This is a 2-year program for children who are one or two years away from starting Kindergarten. The evening is filled with verse memorization, songs, stories, and book time. Children must be at least age 3 years -old on or before August 1st of the current school year.

Konnect

This program is for Kindergarten through 4th grade children. Each evening consists of a large group time, small group time, and gym games. In large group, kids will move through a different Bible-based series specifically written for elementary students of all ages. During their grade-specific small group time, they will dive in a little deeper as they figure out how these Biblical truths look in their own lives. There are weekly verses kids can memorize to earn points towards prizes!

Loop

This program is for 5th & 6th grade students. Evenings consist of hang out time in the gym, large group time, and small group time. The different series of topics presented in large group are specifically geared towards preteen students, and the small group time gives them more opportunities to ask questions. Students are encouraged to memorize the weekly verse, and there are online devotion plans available with each series.

Students

Welcome to Salem Student Ministries! Thank you for taking the time to stop by and learn more about who we are and why we’re here. It is our goal to see each student grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ. As the students gain a deeper understanding of who God is and how much He loves them, they will be motivated to live and serve Him in this world

Sundays at Fargo Campus

At Salem we believe the Bible is our guide in life, and we are passionate about nurturing a biblical worldview in our youth. They are best served by learning to interpret the world around them through the clear and accurate lens of God’s truth found in Scripture.

One of the primary ways we assist students in establishing and growing a biblical worldview is through Sunday School Classes. Each week students gather at each campus to learn from God’s Word through our “Live Curriculum” (Group Publishing) materials. 7th and 8th graders go through a survey of the Old and New Testaments, 9th-12th graders cover Bible survey classes, theology, apologetics, and training for practical application of biblical principles to daily life.

Sunday School for grades 7-12 meets on the third floor at our Fargo Campus at 9:15 am. Please join us!

Wednesday Evenings Combined at Moorhead Campus

Wednesday night gatherings are another large component of grades 7-12 Student Ministries; this is a time for fellowship and growth through praise and worship, teaching, small group accountability and prayer, and games. Pastor Kent teaches from God’s Word, both the Old and New Testaments, offering messages that are both practical and doctrinally sound. Students also have time to process and mentally solidify the teaching through discussion in small groups that are both gender and age specific (ex. 7th grade boys, 11th grade girls, etc.). Wednesday sessions are from 6:30-9:00 pm at Moorhead Campus in the youth room.

Student Ministries

Groups

As followers of Jesus, we are instructed to live out our faith in pursuit of loving God and loving our neighbors as ourselves. This is often referred to as the Great Commandment. Likewise, we are told by Jesus to go and make disciples of all nations, baptising them and teaching them to obey His commands. This is often referred to as the Great Commission.

At Salem we have a number of great opportunities for you to gather together with others to grow as disciples who are learning to live out these gospel truths in the rhythms of life.

Life Groups

Life Groups are Salem’s primary way of making disciples who can Reach-Disciple-Send with the Gospel. Life groups consist of 6-30 adults and their children. They are based on living out both the Great Commission and the Great Commandment.

Prayer Ministry

Prayer is such a privilege and so important to a life of faith. Each worship service prayer ministers are available to pray with those in need of prayer. We also schedule several opportunities to pray with and for the people of Salem on a weekly basis. At certain times of the year we plan a time of prayer that helps us focus our prayers. If you want to check any of these out go to Salem’s events page and see what is scheduled for this week.
