A Note From Seth
Dear Salem Family,
Sometimes I feel like when it rains it pours. It’s with a deep sadness that I write to tell you that Veronica James has resigned from her role as Kids Director.
For these past several years, Veronica has brought a renewed sense of vibrancy to the Kids Ministry. Some might think about all the decorations of Summer Blast, or big events, which take a ton of work, but it was her passion for God's word day in and day out - combined with her excitement in teaching it to kids that was so special.
Veronica’s joy is truly infectious, and God has used her to bring many smiles to kids' faces - even in hard times. She's done a great job at recruiting leaders and building up a teaching team. She has been a great teammate, friend, and leader to many. She has challenged, encouraged, and above all, been a source of light for the gospel. I am thankful so many had the opportunity to be impacted by what God has and is doing in her. She will be missed by many in this role.
Though we are saddened, we know that God is leading Veronica and her family into a new chapter. Whatever that may be, we can all trust with certainty that God will continue to work powerfully in her and through her.
We plan to hold a special thank you in the future to show our gratitude and to celebrate all that God has done through Veronica at Salem. Those details will be determined soon, but her official last day will be August 6th. Please do not be shy to seek her out and let her know how God has used her to be a blessing to you and our church these past years.
We also ask that, in addition to this, you continue to pray for our Youth Search Team. While we work to have everything we can set and ready for fall, we'll be exploring possible opportunities as we see who God provides. God is on His throne and He is good.
With much love,
Seth Dunham
